The Private University of Applied Sciences for Business and Technology (PHWT) in Vechta and Diepholz is a renowned educational institution that offers its students a secure prospect of success. We combine theoretical knowledge and practical experience in an optimal way, preparing our students for a career with our approximately 180 prestigious partner companies, some of which operate internationally, and beyond.

Study Programme - Main Focus

PHWT offers dual degree programmes in business administration and engineering at its Vechta and Diepholz campuses. The comprehensive range of courses on offer includes modernised dual degree programmes with vocational and academic elements that can also be studied in the traditional manner. These include: mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, as well as business administration, business informatics, computer science and the master's programme "Sustainable Products and Processes". All degree programmes are geared to each other so that students from all programmes can work together on projects. The range of courses and programmes on offer is continuously updated and focus on current topics and trends.

PHWT has state-of-the-art laboratories where students can work and learn with first-class technology and equipment. Here, they can apply their theoretical knowledge into practical projects. Thanks to small study groups, students receive individual attention and support from their teachers and can exchange ideas with each other while working together. This not only promotes the development of a strong network, but also marks the beginning of many friendships and valuable contacts from which our graduates continue to benefit for long after completing their studies.

We award credits for speeding, capsizing and barbecuing! Those who complete their studies with us will not only be able to develop technical systems, but also drive racing cars, build canoes and construct a smoker. It doesn't get any more practical than this!

Where to meet

A particular highlight is the student club, which is open to students around the clock. With its own bar, refrigerator, television, and dartboard, it offers the perfect place for social evenings and a lively community. Due to the small number of students, the groups become close-knit and spend a lot of time together outside of studies.
