University - The Particular

After completing their degree programmes, students already have plenty of professional experience and are familiar with operational processes. Theoretical and practical periods alternate every three months throughout the study programme. During practical periods, students work as apprentices in companies (in the health degree programme) or with so-called "partners in practice" (for degree programmes in building and construction and engineering). hochschule 21 now has around 850 partners in practice committed to the idea of dual study (degree programmes with vocational and academic elements). The combination of academic university education and practical experience creates highly sought experts out of graduates.

Study Programme - Main Focus

hochschule 21 focuses on the areas of health (degree programmes for nursing, physiotherapy), technology (facility engineering, engineering mechatronics) and engineering (architecture, civil engineering). Work and research is conducted in an interdisciplinary manner. A high level of practical training prevails even during theoretical periods. Students are given the opportunity to acquire various additional qualifications (e.g. architectural draughtsman, real estate agent). Also, a part-time master's degree programme is offered in the field of civil engineering.
