Different Ways to Study
Student Exchange, Short-Term Stays & Language Courses

Student Exchange

As an exchange student, you can study in Lower Saxony for one or more semesters to earn credit points towards a degree at your home university.

Student exchange is usually organised between two partner universities or through an exchange programme such as Erasmus+.

Exchange students have many advantages, such as simplified entry conditions or financial relief. The application process, however, is different from the one for a full degree in Lower Saxony: Most importantly, you will have to apply for a place in an exchange programme at your home university first, instead of applying to a university in Lower Saxony directly.

If you are interested in participating in an exchange programme, please contact your home university or the National Agency of your country for more information.
